MATERIAL - Si (Silicon)


Crystaltechno LTD makes optical windows from different types of optical crystals and glasses.

Si (Silicon) plane parallel windows are widely used as transfer optics and shields.

Crystaltechno Ltd. manufactures windows from following Silicon Si material.
Silicon is grown by Czochralski pulling techniques (CZ) and contains some oxygen which causes an absorption band at 5.8, 9.1 and 19.4 microns. To avoid this, Si monocrystalline material can be prepared by a Float-Zone (FZ) process.

Crystaltechno Ltd. manufactures Si windows: maximum diameter of Si-Cz windows - up to 300 mm, maximum diameter of Si-Fz windows - up to 100 mm.
