Material CaF2 (Calcium Fluoride)

Crystaltechno Ltd. manufactures from CaF2 (Calcium Fluoride) the following optics: blanks, windows, plates, polished domes, prisms, wedges and lenses. These products are used for infrared applications.
This material has found wide use in high power laser optics due to its low absorption. Polished surfaces are stable and will last several years under normal conditions. Due to its low refractive index, Calcium Fluoride can be used without anti-reflection coating. Calcium fluoride is grown by vacuum Stockbarger technique. Material for IR use is grown using naturally mined fluorite, in large quantities at relatively low cost.

Crystaltechno Ltd. grows calcium fluoride CaF2 crystals and produces CaF2 optics with diameter up to 380 mm, thickness 70 mm. We offer manufacture of CaF2 blanks, CaF2 windows, CaF2 prisms, CaF2 polished domes and CaF2 lenses.


Spectral Transmittance of CaF2 UV Uncoated Polished Window thickness 1mm for ranges (200 - 1100) nm and (2.5 - 25) micron.
